About Absinth

ABSINTH TATTOO

Absinth tattoo studio was created by Mimoza, a Greek tattoo artist known for her unique tattoo style. It is located in the western side of the city center in an upcoming artistic neighborhood. The space is designed and curated with care, with the ultimate goal of providing a cozy, comfortable, hygienic and professional tattoo experience.

Mimoza came up with the name during a tattoo excursion in Prague 2015, where she tried absinth for the first time with friends and was mesmerized by the color, taste and history of the drink.

Our artists have years of experience in the field of tattooing and specialize in own styles, never the less able to perform a variety of different styles as well.

Our love for art and tattooing keeps ups evolving daily to meet the needs of our customers, and to play our part in the evolution of the craft.

OUR PEOPLE

MIMOZA

“I started tattooing about 10 years ago out of a room in my house, and never could imagine the beautiful journey this would be. I owe it all to the trust and support of my clients.

I developed my style by observing and studying nature and themes of artists I admired. During these years I’ve traveled a lot around Europe and Egypt to tattoo in different shops and set ups, and broaden my horizons.

I evolve with my own pace, taking on artistic challenges. My love for this craft grows stronger each day. I love meeting new people, spending time with them, and working on ideas to transform their bodies and maybe even their lives.

I see tattooing as a form of self-expression and belonging. I find it to include a sense a freedom and individual identity.

After all these years I proudly present my first tattoo studio, a place to host all my artistic endeavors, wonderful acquaintances and hopefully new relationships and a sense of community.”

VON GREGUS

Around 15 years ago I started with some punk-rock tattooing in my kitchen and gradually fell in love with the art. In the meantime I studied drawing and printmaking at the Fine Arts University of Thessaloniki and developed an interest for Asian culture and arts.I am fascinated by classic tattoos, traditional, Japanese, tribal etc. My goal is to create clean, bold, unique tattoos that leave the customer with a smile on their face and the memory of a great experience.

The style I like to work on is based on Japanese traditional with a twist, but all styles are welcome.

I have known Mimoza for a decade and I witnessed her way through tattooing and developing her own unique personality. I am excited to be working with her again, this time in her own studio.
