About Absinth
ABSINTH TATTOO
Absinth tattoo studio was created by Mimoza, a Greek tattoo artist known for her unique tattoo style. It is located in the western side of the city center in an up and coming artistic neighborhood. The space is designed and curated with care, with the ultimate goal of providing a cozy, comfortable, hygienic and professional tattoo experience.
Mimoza came up with the name during a tattoo excursion in Prague 2015, where she tried absinth for the first time with friends and was mesmerized by the color, taste and history of the drink.
Our artists have years of experience in the field of tattooing and specialize in own styles, never the less able to perform a variety of different styles as well.
Our love for art and tattooing keeps evolving daily to meet the needs of our customers, and create beautiful one of a kind tattoos with attention to detail.
OUR PEOPLE
MIMOZA
“I started tattooing about 10 years ago out of a room in my house, and never could imagine the beautiful journey this would be. I owe it all to the trust and support of my clients.
I developed my style by observing and studying nature and themes of artists I admired. During these years I’ve traveled a lot around Europe and Egypt to tattoo in different shops and set ups, and broaden my horizons.
I evolve with my own pace, taking on artistic challenges. My love for this craft grows stronger each day. I love meeting new people, spending time with them, and working on ideas to transform their bodies and maybe even their lives.
I see tattooing as a form of self-expression and belonging. I find it to include a sense a freedom and individual identity.
After all these years I proudly present my first tattoo studio, a place to host all my artistic endeavors, wonderful acquaintances and hopefully new relationships and a sense of community.”
KALLI
I began tattooing in 2021, and this journey still feels so surreal. I moved from Xanthi to Thessaloniki and had to start fresh, since I didn’t know anyone in the city. The artists I met and got to know taught me so much and helped me grow my skills and confidence in tattooing. But of course, I owe all I have accomplished to my clients, who have trusted me with their stories and bodies and have stood by me all these years.
My art style has been evolving through the years, and it will continue to evolve as I study all the artists that I admire so much. My style can be defined more as an illustrative take on tattooing, with my main source of inspiration being nature. I adore the time I get to spend with my clients, and it’s always lovely to see the excitement in someone’s eyes when we perfectly capture their ideas. I am so excited, and I honestly can’t wait to begin this new chapter of my life and work with all of you in this wonderful studio.
